Let me introduce myself, my name is Jason Ross, I have been in Law Enforcement for 10 years and I also work part time at Ellwood Epps Sporting Goods. I have been an avid shooter and outdoors person all my life. My respect for firearm safety, marksmanship and the outdoors is thanks to my mother and father who entrenched this as part of my upbringing.
Sixteen years ago, I had the honor of being a member of the Algonquin Regiment in the Canadian Armed Forces Infantry Reserve. This gave me the opportunity to be on the Regimental Shooting Team for the 1995 LFCA / ORA Service Rifle Match. I was successful in the 500 yard snap match; also known as the Col. Colin W.G. Gibson Match. Furthermore, I was a member of the 1995 Canadian Goodwill Black Powder Team to South Africa.
In 2011, I successfully completed the Sniper/Precision Competition Course at the Milcun Markmanship Complex. I then went on to compete this year in the OSA Sniper/Precision Competition, the Canadian Law Enforcement and Fire Games and the National Service Conditions Championship Sniper/Precision Matches at CFB Connaught Ranges.
If it wasn’t for Vortex Optics, I would not have been able to accomplish the following this year:
2011 OSA Sniper/Precision Rifle Competition
1st place at the 800m Match
2011 Canadian Law Enforcement and Fire Games
Sniper Rifle Competition
7th place overall standing
2011 National Service Conditions Championship Sniper/Precision Rifle Competition
Winner of:
NSCC Top Tyro Sniper/Precision Rifle Award
Match 67 “Falling Plates”
Ranked 12th overall for individual standings
Thank you Vortex Canada for giving me this opportunity to be a part of this diverse team and look forward to adding to the above accomplishment list for years to come!
