Born to a hunting family, Steve Ecklund grew up hunting at a very early age in the remote parts of Northern Ontario, Canada. With a homemade bow and arrows and a daisy BB gun, a young Steve explored the woods for as many hours as daylight would provide.
The thrill of the hunt and the outdoors have been lifelong obsessions, which ultimately led Steve to gain recognition in the 3D archery circuit for his talents. In 1999, Steve won the gold medal at the Canadian national championships. It was at this pinnacle of his shooting career that he decided to focus solely on his hunting career. One of few Canadian Cabela’s ambassadors, he has earned an unparalleled reputation as a fair chase hunter. Although he is an archer at heart, he enjoys all hunting opportunities, including black powder and rifle hunts. “It’s all about the adventure, the friendships made. It’s a lifestyle choice and I am proud to be a hunter!”
Helgie Eymundson is an experienced hunter and is passionate about bowhunting, having hunted all over Africa and North America for Moose, Bear, Elk, and Bighorn Sheep.
As an accomplished whitetail hunter, he made it into the record books in 2007 for shooting one of the greatest bucks in the world. The Eymundson Buck is still the SCI world record and the third-largest ever taken in Canada—most people consider it the most impressive Canadian whitetail of all time.
Helgie serves as Executive of Programming and National Sales Manager for Wild TV.
Jeff Coyle was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, and has loved the outdoors all his life. He learned to hunt upland game birds from his father, and graduated to big game hunting with great success pursing Southern Alberta whitetail. He is now obsessed with chasing big game in the Rocky Mountains. For Jeff, there is nothing better than climbing a peak to see what’s on the other side. As Wild TV’s Business Development Manager, he loves to meet new people, and pass on his knowledge and passion for hunting. He also hosts WIld TV’s Gear Hunters.
